After a lot of inertia regarding The Real Housewives of New York,<\/a><\/strong> there are indications that production is moving forward. Andy Cohen<\/a> <\/strong>remains mum on specifics, but is hinting that some decisions were made on casting for Season 16.<\/p>\n Season 15 premiered in October 2024 to higher hopes than what was delivered. Ratings flopped. And the cast felt so disjointed after the toxic finale episode. It was officially put on hiatus<\/a>, but never cancelled.<\/p>\n Andy and Sean Avery discussed RHONY\u2019s future on SiriusXM\u2019s Andy Cohen Live<\/a> show. Bravo\u2019s executive producer said that \u201cnew\u201d housewives are confirmed.<\/p>\n Sean asked, \u201cInteresting, and has that been determined yet?\u201d Andy responded, \u201cA few have been determined.\u201d However, the decision is \u201cunannounced\u201d and the higher ups at Bravo \u201chaven\u2019t rounded it out yet.\u201d<\/p>\n Full time cast member Brynn Whitfield<\/a> officially quit the show<\/a> after two seasons. Friend of the cast, Rebecca Minkoff<\/a> announced her exit in February 2025<\/a>. So there is the potential for at least two new housewives.<\/p>\n However, Sean pressed on to get a more exact answer on \u201chow many seats\u201d Bravo is \u201cfilling.\u201d He suggested \u201cfour,\u201d which would be a \u201cbig turnover\u201d for a show that just revamped the entire cast for Season 14.<\/p>\n Andy stated, \u201cI can neither confirm nor deny.\u201d<\/p>\n Speculation abounds as to who will return from the former group. Erin Lichy<\/a> is more than keen<\/a>, but is the interest there? Cast favorite Jessel Taank<\/a> seems a top contender for an apple.<\/p>\n During their radio show, Sean specifically asked if \u201cfire\u201d Ubah Hassan<\/a> was \u201ccoming back?\u201d Once again, Andy played coy. He said, \u201cIs Ubah coming back? We will see.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI love Ubah,\u201d Sean continued. \u201cI love somebody that can go from zero to 180 in like a matter of seconds, and she was fun. Wild. I didn\u2019t know what she was thinking at any point in time.\u201d<\/p>\n Ubah is certainly good for reality TV. But as she is newly engaged <\/a>to Oliver Dachsel<\/a>, perhaps returning is not a priority for the professional model.
