Ego Nwodim<\/strong> is the latest Saturday Night Live<\/em> cast member to exit the show.<\/p>\n \u201cThe hardest part of a great party is knowing when to say goodnight. But after seven unforgettable seasons, I have decided to leave SNL,\u201d the comedian, 37, wrote in an Instagram post<\/a> on Friday, September 12.<\/p>\n \u201cI am immensely grateful to Lorne [Michaels]<\/strong> for the opportunity, to my castmates, the writers, and the crew for their brilliance, support, and friendship,\u201d Nwodim continued.<\/p>\n \u201cWeek after week on that stage taught me more than I could have ever imagined, and I will carry those memories (and that laughter) with me always \u2728\ud83d\ude4f\ud83c\udffe\ud83d\ude18 now invite me to your weddings please!!!\u201d she concluded her heartfelt statement.<\/p>\n Nwodim first joined the long-running sketch comedy series in 2018 for season 44.<\/p>\n As the National Enquirer<\/em> previously reported<\/a>, multiple cast members from season 50 have already departed the late-night program, including Devon Walker, Emil Wakim, Michael Longfellow,<\/strong> and Heidi Gardner.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n However, there will still be a handful of returning faces<\/a> for season 51, as Deadline<\/em><\/a> reported earlier this week that Michael Che<\/strong> and Colin Jost<\/strong> will be back at the Weekend Update desk.<\/p>\n Other returning cast members include Mikey Day<\/strong>, Andrew Dismukes<\/strong>, Chloe Fineman<\/strong>,\u00a0Marcello Hernandez<\/strong>, James Austin Johnson<\/strong>, Sarah Sherman<\/strong>, Kenan Thompson<\/strong>, Bowen Yang<\/strong>, and featured players Ashley Padilla<\/strong> and Jane Wickline.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n Five new faces \u2014 Ben Marshall, Tommy Brennan, Jeremy Culhane, Kam Patterson,<\/strong> and Veronika Slowikowska<\/strong> \u2014 will also be welcomed into season 51.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n![\"\"](\"https:\/\/staging.nationalenquirer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/starmax739469-scaled.jpg\")
