Ego Nwodim is the latest member to announced their departure from \u201cSaturday Night Live\u201d amid a major cast shakeup.<\/p>\n
Nwodim said she has \u201cdecided to leave\u201d the iconic late-night sketch comedy show \u201cafter seven unforgettable seasons\u201d on her Instagram story<\/a> Friday, Sept. 12.<\/p>\n \u201cThe hardest part of a great party is knowing when to say goodnight,\u201d the 37-year-old opened with. <\/p>\n \u201cI am immensely grateful to Lorne [Michaels] for the opportunity, to my castmates, the writers, and the crew for their brilliance, support, and friendship,\u201d Nwodim wrote. \u201cWeek after week on that stage taught me more than I could have ever imagined, and I will carry those memories, and that laughter, with me always.\u201d<\/p>\n The actress then concluded her announcement with a joke by saying, \u201cnow invite me to your weddings please!!!\u201d <\/p>\n Nwodim first joined \u201cSNL\u201d for the show\u2019s 44th season in 2018. Some of her most popular characters include her Dionne Warwick impersonation<\/a>, Veronda \u2014 the \u201crich auntie with no kids\u201d<\/a> \u2014 and Lisa From Temecula<\/a>. She is the latest member to announce their departure ahead Season 51 premiere of \u201cSNL\u201d next month. <\/p>\n Heidi Gardner, Devon Walker, Michael Longfellow and Emil Wakim have all left the show, according to E!
