The shake-up at Saturday Night Live<\/strong><\/a> continues, with yet another long-time cast member leaving the show following the show\u2019s cast being set.<\/p>\n According to a new report from Deadline, Ego Nwodim<\/span><\/strong> has decided to leave SNL following her seventh season with the long-running comedy show. Deadline\u2019s report notes that Nwodim\u2019s decision came after the show\u2019s cast for Season 51 was set.<\/p>\n \u201cThe hardest part of a great party is knowing when to say goodnight. But after seven unforgettable seasons, I have decided to leave SNL,\u201d Nwodim said on her exit. \u201cI am immensely grateful to Lorne for the opportunity, to my castmates, the writers, and the crew for their brilliance, support, and friendship. Week after week on that stage taught me more than I could have ever imagined, and I will carry those memories, and that laughter, with me always.\u201d<\/p>\n Nwodim was one of the most senior cast members of SNL, and is also said to likely be \u201cin demand\u201d after her exit. She\u2019s already been starring in a number of other projects, and has stated that her goal is to continue growing her acting career.<\/p>\n Nwodim now joins a long list of cast members who left the show ahead of its next season. Other cast members leaving include Devon Walker, Emil Wakim, Heidi Gardner, and Michael Longfellow, as well as writers Celeste Yim and Rosebud Baker.<\/p>\n In an interview with Puck last week, producer Lorne Michaels<\/span> said that SNL would see some changes coming to the show, though it\u2019s unclear exactly what else is planned for the show.<\/p>\n Saturday Night Live is currently set to premiere its 51st season on NBC on October 4, 2025.
