Ledisi<\/strong> teamed with Gregory Porter<\/strong> for \u201cYou Got What It Takes<\/a>.\u201d It\u2019s their remake of the song by Brook Benton<\/strong> and Dinah Washington<\/strong>, who Ledisi honors with her forthcoming album, For Dinah<\/em>. \u201c\u2018You\u2019ve Got What It Takes\u2019 was a must for the\u00a0For Dinah\u00a0<\/em>project,\u201d says Ledisi. \u201cThe original was a pop\/r&b hit in the [\u201960s], so I wanted to keep that loose, playful energy and mirror some of what Dinah displayed on the original.\u201d<\/p>\n

Pharrell\u00a0<\/strong>reunited with the Voices of Fire choir for\u00a0OPHANIM<\/em>, following 2023\u2019s \u201cJOY (Unspeakable)<\/a>.\u201d It features lead single \u201cMiracle Worker\u201d and collaborations with\u00a0John Legend<\/strong>,\u00a0Quavo<\/strong>,\u00a0CeeLo Green\u00a0<\/strong>and more. Pharrell and the choir\u00a0will perform at Grace for the World<\/a> in Vatican City Saturday. The live concert <\/a>will stream on Hulu, Disney+ and ABC News Live.<\/p>\n

Jermaine Dupri<\/strong>\u2018s new album,\u00a0Magic City<\/em>, arrives in conjunction with the finale of the docuseries he executive produced on Starz, Magic City: An American Fantasy<\/em>.\u00a0\u201cFrom celebrating Rich Homie Quan<\/strong> to working with CeeLo on \u2018Atlanna,\u2019 this project honors the city\u2019s past, present, and future,\u201d he said. \u201cThis album is bigger than music. It\u2019s about honoring a movement that started in Atlanta.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ice Cube<\/strong> follows 2024\u2019s Man Down<\/em> with Man Up<\/em><\/a>.\u00a0\u201cI\u2019ve always stood on speaking truth to power and making music that reflects reality,\u201d Cube said in a statement,\u00a0according to\u00a0Billboard<\/em><\/a>. \u201cMan Up\u00a0<\/em>is about accountability, resilience, and reminding people where the real problems come from.
