GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) \u2014 \u201cThe Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon\u201d has released its plans for an upcoming show taping<\/a><\/strong> in Detroit. Pistons star Cade Cunningham and actor\/Michigan native Keegan-Michael Key will appear as guests and rapper Common will perform.<\/p>\n

The one-night event will tape on Sunday at the historic Detroit Opera House. The episode will air on Monday night on WOOD TV8 and stream on Peacock the following day.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have lots of fun stuff planned, lots of surprises. I can\u2019t wait to see you, Detroit. So, get ready, it\u2019s going to be good,\u201d Fallon said during Thursday\u2019s show<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The taping is part of the show\u2019s partnership with Ford and a new marketing campaign called \u201cReady, Set, Ford.\u201d<\/p>\n

According to the Detroit Free Press<\/a><\/strong>, it\u2019s the first time the city has hosted a national late-night show since Jimmy Kimmel made an appearance in 2006.<\/p>\n

In addition to his regular duties, Fallon will start hosting new episodes of \u201cThe Tonight Show\u201d on Sunday nights following \u201cSunday Night Football\u201d starting on Sept. 21.<\/p>\n
