No longer Superman, Henry Cavill<\/a> can be hurt by more than just Kryptonite.<\/p>\n

“The Witcher<\/a>” star sustained an injury ahead of filming for the upcoming “Highlander” revival, according to Amazon MGM Studios.<\/p>\n

Production for the remake of the 1986 action movie is now expected to begin in early 2026 after the 42-year-old “Man of Steel<\/a>” actor was injured during the pre-production stage, the studio confirmed to USA TODAY.<\/p>\n

Amazon did not provide additional details on how Cavill was injured or what those injuries are.<\/p>\n

USA TODAY has reached out to Cavill’s representatives for comment.<\/p>\n

The original cult classic starred Lambert and Sean Connery as immortal warriors battling to the death. The film spawned a franchise, including several sequels and a television series with six seasons.<\/p>\n
