[Warning: The following contains MAJOR spoilers for The Hunting Wives Season 1.]<\/strong><\/p>\n The saucy, scandalous, and sexy women of Netflix\u2019s The Hunting Wives<\/a> will continue their high-society sins and scandals as the streamer renews the series for Season 2.<\/p>\n Based on the page-turner by May Cobb, the series follows fish-out-of-water Sophie O\u2019Neil (Brittany Snow<\/a>) as she navigates the choppy waters of suburban Texas\u2019s ultra-wealthy social scene, ruled by the enigmatic Margo Banks (Malin \u00c5kerman<\/a>). The crown jewel of their Christian community of Maple Brook, Margo sets her sights on Sophie, and the two form a relationship that could hardly be called mutually beneficial.<\/p>\n On September 12, it was announced via X (formerly Twitter) that Season 2 was a go, as Netflix informed fans to \u201cpack their boots and load their guns\u201d to get ready to head back to Maple Brook.<\/p>\n Here is everything we know about Season 2 thus far.<\/p>\n Sophie moves to an affluent East Texas suburb for her husband Graham\u2019s (Evan Jonigkeit<\/a>) new job, where she\u2019s quickly taken under the wing of Margo, the glamorous wife of his boss, Jed (Dermot Mulroney<\/a>). Almost immediately, Sophie becomes entangled in the over-the-top antics of Margo and her inner circle: a world propelled by sass, scandal, sauvignon blanc, and eventually sacrifice.<\/p>\n Buckle up. It\u2019s a bit of a ride.<\/p>\n The story reaches its climax when Margo\u2019s affairs with both Callie (Jaime Ray Newman<\/a>) and Jill\u2019s (Katie Lowes<\/a>) son, Brad (George Ferrier<\/a>) become her fatal flaw. When Brad\u2019s girlfriend Abby (Madison Wolfe<\/a>) threatens to expose her relationship with the teen and reveal Margo\u2019s secret abortion<\/a>, the seemingly-perfect housewife kills Abby in a desperate attempt to protect herself and the carefully crafted life she has built, while allowing Sophie to become the prime suspect in Abby\u2019s murder by manipulating evidence.<\/p>\n Starr (Chrissy Metz<\/a>), Abby\u2019s mother, goes to confront Jill with a shotgun after discovering from Brad\u2019s friend Jamie (Chosen Jacobs<\/a>) that Jill \u201creally had it out for her daughter.\u201d Her body is discovered by Callie and Margo, who go to confront Jill after a night out at the bar. As Jill turns the gun on Margo, Callie shoots her in defense. Evidence then shifts to Jill, and the case is closed, but the emotional fallout remains.<\/p>\n The story comes full circle when Sophie, who was once convicted of driving under the influence and hitting a pedestrian, purposely runs over Margo\u2019s brother Kyle (Michael Aaron Milligan<\/a>) after he threatens her. The incident mirrors a painful chapter from her past, but this time, Sophie is an active participant in the crime as she throws Kyle\u2019s body into a marsh. In that moment, she accidentally answers his phone and hears Margo\u2019s voice say, \u201cYou better not be f**king with Sophie. I told you not to do that.\u201d<\/p>\n Season 1 ends with Starr and Abby dead, Margo all alone after being thrown out by her husband, and Sophie a full-fledged murderer who is left to deal with the repercussions of her choices.<\/p>\n The ending is vastly different from the series. First off, Jill is the one who killed Abby, not Margo. Jill also kills Margo, making the possibility of a Season 2 slightly difficult.<\/p>\n As for Sophie, the Texas transplant opts to end her marriage and start therapy rather than participating in Margo\u2019s crime spree.<\/p>\n Yes! The first season ended on a cliffhanger, and it was unknown for a short spell if it would continue, but on September 12, those fears were pushed aside after a post on X. The two stars of the hit series, Snow and \u00c5kerman, create a little skit featuring their Hunting Wives personas as they tease the upcoming season.<\/p>\n The two have a little playful back-and-forth banter about how the season ended when Akerman tells Snow, \u201cI have a feeling we\u2019ll be seeing each other real soon. Actually, I know we\u2019re going to be seeing each other really soon.\u201d The scene then cuts to Akerman in her infamous wig<\/a> spouting to the camera, \u201cPack your boots and load your guns. And so I felt very seen, that they trusted me enough to do those things and to pull them off. I loved the scenes with all the girls,\u201d said Snow. \u201cI know, it seems like female friendships were not at the forefront of the story, but off-screen, it was just hanging out with your best friends all day, gossiping, and talking about what\u2019s going on in our lives. I really just had the most fun on those days when we were all together. I remember looking at the call sheet and being like, \u2018Yay! The Hunting Wives!
