Ben Foster<\/strong><\/a> left the bright lights of Hollywood after a decade to settle down in the country<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI lived in L.A. for, we\u2019ll call it 12 years. I lived in New York for about the same,\u201d Foster, 44, told The Hollywood Reporter <\/i><\/a>in a profile published on Wednesday, September 10. \u201c[My ex-wife, Laura Prepon<\/strong>, and I] had two children and my parents are very close with my children. They\u2019ve moved close to Nashville.\u201d<\/p>\n

He continued, \u201cAfter the pandemic, I had a cognition that I didn\u2019t need to live on either coast, quite frankly. I love horses and I ride. I love live music. I dig country music. There\u2019s been a shift from both coasts and I\u2019ve found that it\u2019s gentler for me, at least, to hub there. Nashville is just a different way<\/a>. I\u2019m enjoying it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Foster was married to That \u201870s Show <\/i>alum Prepon, 45, from 2018 to 2024, during which they welcomed two kids. Foster filed for divorce last year, which was settled in April<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tLaura Prepon and Ben Foster may have married when they were in their late thirties, but the actors met when they were just teenagers. The Orange Is the New Black alum and the 3:10 to Yuma star share a mutual longtime friend \u2014 actor Danny Masterson, who worked with Prepon for years on That \u201970s [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Foster did not further detail how he and Prepon were coparenting their children<\/a> amid his move to Music City. He did, however, tell the outlet that the relocation cemented an instant bond with his Motor City <\/i>collaborator Potsy Ponciroli<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen Potsy emailed me, he said, \u2018OK, we can Zoom at 12 p.m. What coast are you on?\u2019 I told him that I was in Nashville and he said, \u2018Get out! Me too!\u2019\u201d Foster recalled to THR. <\/i>\u201cWe decided to meet in person and have lunch, all on the same day, right after I had read the script. I have to be intuitive. I don\u2019t want to be too thoughtful about things. It\u2019s got to move me immediately.\u201d<\/p>\n
