The Super Mario Bros. Movie sequel<\/a> is officially shooting for the stars.<\/p>\n Nintendo and Illumination announced Friday that the animated follow-up will be titled The Super Mario Galaxy Movie (named for Mario’s two out-of-this-world adventures on the Wii console).\u00a0Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic are back to direct Galaxy, with\u00a0Matthew Fogel and Brian Tyler returning as screenwriter and composer, respectively.<\/p>\n Chris Pratt (Mario), Anya Taylor-Joy (Princess Peach), Charlie Day (Luigi), Jack Black (Bowser),\u00a0Keegan-Michael Key (Toad), and Kevin Michael Richardson (Kamek) are all on board to reprise their roles from the first movie, which remains the highest-grossing video game adaptation of all time with more than\u00a0$1.3 billion at the worldwide box office<\/a>.<\/p>\n The animated sequel arrives on the big screen on April 3, 2026 by way of Universal Pictures.<\/p>\n What Was It Like Playing Po in Kung Fu Panda, and Bowser?
