Netflix subscribers can rest assured that The Witcher<\/em> is carrying on just fine without a former Superman<\/em> actor.<\/p>\n The first look at season 4 of the fantasy drama series \u2014 which is an adaptation of CD Projekt Red\u2019s video game franchise as well as Andrzej Sapkowski<\/strong>\u2019s novels of the same name \u2014 was just released. The eight-episode season hits Netflix on October 30, according to Variety<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n Fans will recall that Henry Cavill<\/strong> portrayed the show’s protagonist Geralt in the first three seasons. But in October 2022, Cavill, 42, announced on Instagram<\/a> that he was departing the series and that Liam Hemsworth<\/strong> would take over the role of the eponymous witcher.<\/p>\n Season 3 \u2014 which was released in two parts in June and July 2023 \u2014 was Cavill\u2019s final outing as the character.<\/p>\n “My journey as Geralt of Rivia has been filled with both monsters and adventures, and alas, I will be laying down my medallion and my swords for Season 4,” Cavill wrote in his October 29, 2022 Instagram post. “In my stead, the fantastic Mr. Liam Hemsworth will be taking up the mantle of the White Wolf.”<\/p>\n In addition to Hemsworth, 35, the cast also includes Anya Chalotra<\/strong>, Freya Allan<\/strong>, Joey Batey<\/strong> and Laurence Fishburne<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Season 4 will be the penultimate season of The Witcher<\/em>, as Variety<\/em> noted, with the series coming to a close after season 5.<\/p>\n In other Hemsworth news this past week \u2014 and just weeks after rumors swirled \u2014 the Hunger Games<\/em> actor and Gabriella Brooks have confirmed they\u2019re engaged<\/a>. The bride-to-be, 29, just dropped a first look at her diamond ring.<\/p>\n Posted on Friday, September 12, Brooks’ Instagram carousel<\/a> kicks off with a black-and-white shot of the couple, with the 29-year-old model wrapping her arm around Hemsworth, 35, from behind and resting her ring hand on his chest.
