MEMPHIS, Tenn. \u2014 Memphis is set to honor legendary blues musician B.B. King with a series of events celebrating what would have been his 100th birthday.<\/p>\n

The celebrations, organized by Memphis Tourism in collaboration with B.B. King\u2019s Blues Club, will take place on iconic Beale Street.<\/p>\n

Festivities will kick off with a free block party Sept. 14 from 2 to 6 p.m., featuring live music by Eric Gales and other performers.<\/p>\n

On Sept. 16, B.B. King\u2019s Blues Club will host an intimate birthday celebration with a ticketed event beginning at 6 p.m.<\/p>\n

The lineup includes Bobby Rush, Carla Thomas and Hi Rhythm, along with a special musical tribute by Shirley King and the B.B. King All-Star Legends.<\/p>\n

The events aim to commemorate King\u2019s centennial while highlighting his enduring influence on the Memphis music scene and beyond.<\/p>\n
