Coldplay frontman Chris Martin<\/strong><\/a> encouraged his fans to \u201csend love\u201d to conservative political commentator Charlie Kirk<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s family following Kirk\u2019s shooting death on Wednesday, September 10.<\/p>\n \u201cLet\u2019s raise our hands and send love, anywhere you want to send it in the world,\u201d Martin, 48, told fans during a concert at London\u2019s Wembley Stadium on Friday, September 12. \u201cThere are so many places that might need it today, so here it comes from London.\u201d<\/p>\n Viral footage<\/a> showed Martin assuring the audience, \u201cYou can send this to your brother or your sister, or you can send it to the families of people who\u2019ve been going through terrible stuff. You can send it to Charlie Kirk\u2019s family. He was rushed to a local hospital, where he later died<\/a> at age 31.<\/p>\n Following a two-day long search, the FBI announced on Friday that it had apprehended 22-year-old shooting suspect Tyler Robinson<\/strong>. According to celebrity.land<\/a>, Robinson dropped out of Utah State University despite having a scholarship and had no registered political affiliation.<\/p>\n The Turning Point USA founder\u2019s death led to memorial messages from stars and public figures across the political divide, including President Donald Trump<\/strong>, Chris Pratt<\/strong>, Danica Patrick<\/strong>, Maria Shriver<\/strong> and Josh Duhame<\/strong>l.\u200b\u200b As part of her tribute, Savannah Chrisley<\/strong> revealed that she was supposed to join Kirk<\/a> on his American Comeback Tour later this year.<\/p>\n \u201cI am numb. I can\u2019t believe I\u2019m even writing these words,\u201d she wrote. \u201cCharlie Kirk changed my life\u2026he brought me into the Turning Point family this past year, and I was supposed to be standing next to him at every college this October. Instead, I sit here with a broken heart, devastated beyond words.\u201d<\/p>\n Former California first lady Shriver reacted to news of Kirk\u2019s killing by writing via Instagram<\/a>: \u201cThis is a violent act of hate that we must all denounce, all of us, regardless of party. This is reprehensible, horrendous violence that affects each and every one of us.\u201d<\/p>\n Two days after the shooting, Utah Governor Spencer Cox<\/strong> delivered a similarly unifying call to action for young people during a press conference on Friday, according to NPR<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cYour generation has an opportunity to build a culture that is very different than what we are suffering through right now,\u201d he told young viewers. \u201cNot by pretending differences don’t matter, but by embracing our differences and having those hard conversations.\u201d<\/p>\n
