It\u2019s a Sunday in mid-September and you know what that means\u2026 no, we\u2019re not talking about all-day football on TV<\/a> (though there\u2019s that, too). The 2025 Emmys<\/a>\u00a0have finally arrived!<\/p>\n The 77th Primetime Emmy Awards<\/a> air September 14, at 8\/7c on CBS<\/a>, helmed by first-time award show host and comedian Nate Bargatze<\/a>.<\/p>\n This year\u2019s list of nominees includes some historic nods: 83-year-old Harrison Ford<\/a>, who just earned his first-ever Emmy nomination for Shrinking<\/em><\/a>; Matlock<\/em><\/a>\u2018s Kathy Bates<\/a> who, at 77, is the oldest person ever nominated for Best Actress in a Drama; and Adolescence<\/a><\/em> star Owen Cooper<\/a>, the youngest-ever Best Supporting Actor nominee in a Limited\/Anthology Series or TV Movie (if he wins, he\u2019ll be the youngest male Emmy winner ever).<\/p>\n As for the rest of the list, Severance<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>leads<\/span>\u00a0the pack with 27 nominations, The Penguin<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>trails closely behind with 24 nominations, and The White Lotus<\/a><\/em> and The Studio<\/a><\/em> come in at a close third with 23 nominations each. In other words, it\u2019s HBO and Apple TV+\u2019s night.\u00a0The Last of Us<\/a><\/em>, Hacks<\/a>, Andor<\/a>, The Pitt<\/a><\/em>, and Adolescence<\/em> are also strong contenders.<\/p>\n And you don\u2019t have to wait until the big show airs to know which shows and performances resonated with the Television Academy this year. The Pitt, Severance, The Studio, Hacks,<\/em> and The Penguin<\/em> are already winners in acting categories after taking home Creative Arts Emmys on September 6<\/a>, while Jeopardy!<\/a><\/em>, Saturday Night Live<\/a><\/em>, and The Traitors<\/a><\/em> were among the notable wins on September 7<\/a>.<\/p>\n Scroll down below to see those early wins noted in bold, along with the nominees in the top categories yet to be announced.
