In a preview clip from a new interview for NFL on Fox<\/em>, he opened up to sports commentator Erin Andrews about his proposal to Taylor Swift. When Andrews asked him about having \u201cdry mouth, the nerves\u201d and how \u201crattled\u201d he was on that day, he said, \u201cShe can tell that story,\u201d but he admitted, \u201cthe palms were definitely sweating.\u201d<\/p>\n More from Rolling Stone<\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m an emotional guy,\u201d he continued. \u201cSo there were a few tears here and there, but it\u2019s been an exciting, exciting ride up to this day, and I can\u2019t wait to spend the rest of my life with her.\u201d<\/p>\n In the full interview<\/a>, where Kelce also refuted any rumors of him retiring soon, Andrews prefaced their discussion about the proposal by asking how much happier Swift has made the self-proclaimed \u201chappiest guy in the world.\u201d He said, \u201cShe has brought excitement and a joy for life that made me a better man, made me a better person, and that made me just that much more comfortable in who I am.\u201d<\/p>\n Andrews also mentioned Swift describing her fianc\u00e9 as a \u201chuman exclamation point\u201d during her appearance<\/a> on his New Heights <\/em>podcast on Aug. 13, while asking what he hoped his legacy would be. \u201cThat I was a good teammate, I was a good person in the community. I just love what I do,\u201d\u00a0he responded.<\/p>\n He added: \u201cI don\u2019t know. I\u2019m not here for any other reasons. I just love coming in, playing football, and giving people something to get excited for outside of their lives on Sundays,\u201d he continued. \u201cHopefully they can see how much excitement I bring to my life, and they can bring that to others.\u201d<\/p>\n Swift and Kelce announced their engagement<\/a> on Aug. 26 via a joint post on Instagram after two years of dating.
