Travis Kelce is sharing a few more details about his engagement to Taylor Swift<\/a>.<\/p>\n In a pre-game interview ahead of the Kansas City Chiefs vs. Philadelphia Eagles matchup on Sunday (Sept. 14), the NFL star sat down with NFL on FOX to open up about the moment he popped the big question to the pop superstar.<\/p>\n More from Billboard<\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cThe palms were definitely sweating,\u201d the Chiefs tight end told sportscaster Erin Andrews in a clip shared on Instagram<\/a>. \u201cI\u2019m an emotional guy, so there were a few tears here and there. It\u2019s been an exciting ride up to this day, and I can\u2019t wait to spend the rest of my life with her.\u201d<\/p>\n While Kelce kept most of the details private, he added that he\u2019d let Swift \u201ctell that story.\u201d<\/p>\n The highly anticipated game at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri, marks a Super Bowl LIX rematch between the Chiefs and the Eagles. It was unclear whether Swift will be in attendance to cheer on her fianc\u00e9 from the stands as of press time.<\/p>\n Kelce\u2019s pre-game interview comes just weeks after he and Swift announced their engagement<\/a> in late August, sharing photos on Instagram of the athlete proposing on one knee in a rose-filled garden.<\/p>\n \u201cYour English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married,\u201d they captioned the post.<\/p>\n The couple\u2019s engagement follows nearly two years of dating<\/a>. Fans first caught wind of Kelce\u2019s crush on Swift during a 2023 episode of the New Heights<\/em> podcast, which he co-hosts with his brother, Jason Kelce. At the time, he shared his disappointment over not being able to give Swift a friendship bracelet with his phone number during one of her Eras Tour stops in Kansas City.<\/p>\n Now, as the couple looks ahead to wedding planning, both stars are also gearing up for major milestones in their respective careers.
