Dark<\/strong> Angel<\/strong> hadn’t released music<\/a> in 34 years until this past June, when they released their first LP, Extinction Level Event<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Naturally, with album releases comes live performances and Dark<\/strong> Angel<\/strong> have kicked off their tour in support of Extinction Level Event<\/em>‘s release. Starting at Vibes Event Center in San Antonio, Texas this past Friday (12th of September). <\/p>\n

Dark<\/strong> Angel<\/strong> formed in 1983 before breaking up for the first time in 1992. They eventually came back together in 1999 for a reunion before returning to a hiatus in 2005 \u2013\u00a0they only performed once during this reunion. Dark<\/strong> Angel<\/strong> reunited for a second time in 2013 which has lasted this time, despite the loss of the last original member, Jim<\/strong> Durkin<\/strong> in 2023<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The band performed occasionally since their second reunion in 2013, but this year will see the band embarking on a full-blown North American tour for the first time since 1992. The Californian thrash metal band has seen numerous lineup changes, however, drummer Gene<\/strong> Hoglan<\/strong> and guitarist Eric<\/strong> Meyer<\/strong> have remained in the group since the band’s first record.<\/p>\n

According to Setlist.fm, Dark<\/strong> Angel<\/strong> performed 13 songs, a mix between their old catalogue, and new material. You can check it out below.<\/p>\n
