The host of this year\u2019s Emmy Awards<\/a> has vowed to donate $100,000 to charity \u2013 if winners keep their speeches short.<\/p>\n

The American comedian, Nate Bargatze, who is said to be worth more than \u00a356m, will host the 77th Primetime Emmy Awards<\/a> on Sunday night.<\/p>\n

Bargatze, 46, made the pledge to donate $100,000 (\u00a373,000) to a US volunteering charity, the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, after the prestigious television awards, if the ceremony\u2019s winners do not waffle when collecting their trophy.<\/p>\n

On Jimmy Kimmel Live this week, the comedian said that the amount would diminish every time a star went over the 45 seconds allocated for thank you speeches.<\/p>\n

He said: \u201cEverybody gets 45 seconds to do all the thank yous. So what I came up with is I\u2019m going to donate $100,000 to the Boys & Girls Club\u2026 that\u2019s what the show\u2019s starting at.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen everybody uses their 45 seconds, if someone goes over, we take away $1,000 a second every time they go over.\u201d<\/p>\n

Speaking of cutting actors and actresses off mid-acceptance speech if they go over the time limit, he added: \u201cI know people work hard for the Emmys and stuff so I feel bad.\u201d<\/p>\n
