After nearly four years since \u201cThe Batman<\/a>\u201d became a blockbuster in 2022, the script for \u201cPart II\u201d is finally done and shooting is set to begin early next year.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe start shooting [the film] in spring, probably around the end of April or beginning of May,\u201d director Matt Reeves<\/a> told Variety\u2018s Marc Malkin<\/a> on the Emmys red carpet. \u201cIt\u2019s been a long journey, but I am so incredibly excited. I\u2019m really proud of the script me and Mattson [Tomlin] did, and we\u2019ve started to share it with Robert [Pattinson].\u201d<\/p>\n

Reeves revealed his excitement for coming back to the gritty world of Gotham and the lengths \u201cThe Batman<\/a>\u201d team had to go to keep the script under wraps. \u201cWe put [the script] into a secret pouch that literally has a lock on it with a code.
