Erin Napier, the co-host of HGTV\u2019s Home Town, sparked backlash on Instagram<\/a> this week after posting a cryptic message following the assassination of Charlie Kirk<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Hours after Kirk was shot and killed during a Utah<\/a> Valley University event on September 10, Napier shared a dark message on her Instagram story, “Only the demonized celebrate death.”<\/p>\n

Napier\u2019s comment quickly divided fans, following reports of President Donald Trump “struggling” over the death<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“I am revolted by some of the comments in my DMs,” Napier wrote in a follow-up post.<\/p>\n

She added, “Unfollow me, immediately, if you could be one of those comments. Christ, have mercy on us all.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Napier replied, “You know nothing about why I am homeschooling my children, you sick goblin.”<\/p>\n

The Express US has reached out to a representative for Napier for comment.<\/p>\n

Kirk, 31, was fatally shot during a student-led debate in Utah<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Police say 22-year-old Tyler Robinson was arrested and charged with aggravated murder and obstruction of justice.<\/p>\n

Kirk is survived by his wife, Erika, and two children, who are three and one.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
