Tramell Tillman took home the Primetime Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series for his role as Seth Milchick in the Apple TV+ series \u201cSeverance.\u201d<\/p>\n

His win also made history as he\u2019s the first Black actor to win in the category within the program\u2019s 77 year history.<\/p>\n

Tillman beat out fellow \u201cSeverance\u201d actors Zach Cherry and John Turturro, \u201cParadise\u201d star James Marsden and Walton Goggins and Jason Isaacs of \u201cThe White Lotus.\u201d<\/p>\n

He delivered a passionate speech dedicated to his date to the event, which is his mother.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou remember what you want to remember. You make time for what you want to make time for, do the work, show up, and most importantly, for the love of God, don\u2019t embarrass me in public. My first acting coach was tough, y\u2019all, but all great mothers are,\u201d he said onstage.<\/p>\n

\u201cMama, you were there for me when no one else was, and no one else would show up.
Your loving kindness stays with me, and this is for you,\u201d he exclaimed. \u201cThank you to the academy. I am full. I am humbled. I am honored. And as my mama would say, \u2018Whoa, look at God!’\u201d<\/p>\n

In August<\/a>, the actor told KTLA 5\u2019s Melvin Robert that his mom has been \u201cinstrumental\u201d in his success as an actor.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe would tell me I could do it and no matter what, to go after my dreams,\u201d he explained on the KTLA 5 Morning News. \u201cThat really kept me afloat in the times of misdirection or disappointment and rejection, which this business has a lot of.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cSeverance\u201d led the Emmys with the most nominations, with 27 in total.<\/p>\n
