Scott Gemmill and Joe Sachs.<\/p>\n Each episode of the series centers on a specific hour in the Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Center emergency room. The Pitt <\/em>returns for another shift in January, picking up during the July 4 weekend, around 10 months after the events of Season One conclude.<\/p>\n \u201cThat\u2019s what the audience comes for: to be surprised, and challenged,\u201d Gemmill told Rolling Stone <\/em><\/a>earlier this year. \u201cThe compression in one day is a conceit, but I think it worked.
