Set to a moving musical tribute from Lainey Wilson and Vince Gill, the somber \u201cIn Memoriam\u201d segment of the 77th Primetime Emmy Awards on Sunday paid tribute to a host of small-screen stars who have died in the past year. But users on social media were quick to point out the notable names that did not make the montage.<\/p>\n
Wilson and Gill performed the 1994 song \u201cGo Rest High on the Mountain\u201d during the segment that remembered significant TV talent such as Twin Peaks<\/em> creator David Lynch, The Cosby Show<\/em>\u2018s Malcolm-Jamal Warner, <\/a>Good Times <\/em>star John Amos, Downton Abbey<\/em>\u2018s Maggie Smith, Gossip Girl<\/em>\u2018s Michele Trachtenberg, Alice<\/em>\u2018s Linda Lavin, Shogun<\/em>\u2018s Richard Chamberlain and WKRP in Cincinnati<\/em>\u2018s Loni Anderson.<\/p>\n More from The Hollywood Reporter<\/strong><\/p>\n Notable names missing from the segment were Graham Greene, a prolific First Nations actor with a television career that spanned five decades, who died Sept. 1.<\/a> Greene starred in Northern Exposure<\/em>, Longmire<\/em> and most recently The Last of Us<\/em>, Reservation Dogs <\/em>and Tulsa King<\/em>. Also missing was the late Tony Todd, who died Nov. 8<\/a>, who was a regular guest star on TV, appearing in more than two dozen shows and also had a recurring role most recently in The Flash. <\/em><\/p>\n Another shocking omission was Lynne Marie Stewart, the veteran actress best known for her work on Pee-wee\u2019s Playhouse<\/em> and It\u2019s Always Sunny in Philadelphia<\/em>, who died in February<\/a>. While Alice<\/em> lead Linda Lavin, who died in December<\/a>, made the segment, her famed co-star Polly Holliday, the actress who played the spirited waitress Flo on the CBS sitcom and her own spinoff, was missing. Holliday died last week at 88<\/a>.<\/p>\n Jonathan Joss, the King of the Hill <\/em>voice actor who was shockingly murdered in June<\/a>, was also missing. Joss, who died after a shooting outside his home in Texas, voiced John Redcorn in King of the Hill <\/em>and also played Chief Ken Hotate in Parks and Recreation<\/em>.<\/p>\n WWE icon and TV star Hulk Hogan was also missing from the segment.
