An iconic caffeinated mother-daughter duo reunited at the Primetime Emmy Awards on Sunday evening.<\/p>\n
Actresses Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel of \u201cGilmore Girls\u201d served as presenters at the ceremony, which took place at the Peacock Theater in downtown Los Angeles.<\/p>\n
They appeared on the stage, standing upon the famous porch of their fictional Stars Hollow home.<\/p>\n
\u201cTwenty-five years ago, a show called\u00a0\u2018Gilmore Girls\u2019\u00a0premiered and, apparently, took the season of fall hostage,\u201d Graham joked, since that\u2019s the season the show\u2019s been synonymous with.<\/p>\n
\u201cIn spite of our autumnal dominance,\u00a0\u2018Gilmore\u2019\u00a0was actually a very small show, meaning we had no money,\u201d Bledel chimed in.<\/p>\n
\u201cIf there was a birthday at\u00a0\u2018The Drew Carey Show\u2019\u00a0next door, they would send us their leftover sheetcake,\u201d Graham said.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe saved up all year long to have one snow episode,\u201d Bledel said.<\/p>\n
\u201cAnd then\u00a0\u2018ER\u2019\u00a0would wet down their street and wash it all away,\u201d Graham quipped. Bledel told her \u201cyou have got to let that go.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cThey had (George) Clooney! They could\u2019ve let us have the damn snow,\u201d Graham clapped back.<\/p>\n
The duo presented the Emmy for Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series, which went to the Apple TV+ series \u201cThe Studio.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cGilmore Girls\u201d debuted on The WB, which later became the CW, in 2000 and concluded in 2007. It followed the life of single mother Lorelai Gilmore, played by Graham, and her teenage daughter Lorelai \u201cRory\u201d Gilmore, played by Bledel.<\/p>\n
In 2016, a miniseries called \u201cGilmore Girls: A Year in the Life\u201d aired on Netflix.<\/p>\n
