Hannah Einbinder<\/a> received her fourth Emmy nomination for her performance in \u201cHacks<\/a>\u201d this year.<\/p>\n As with ceremonies past, she didn\u2019t expect to be onstage delivering an acceptance speech.<\/p>\n But there she was on Sunday night, taking the stage (after a musical \u201cGolden Girls\u201d tribute) to accept the Emmy for outstanding supporting actress in a comedy series.<\/p>\n And she didn\u2019t waste her moment, calling attention to several subjects close to her heart.<\/p>\n \u201cI was just really committed to the personal narrative that I had that it was actually cooler to continue to lose,\u201d Einbinder began. \u201cI was pretty committed to that. Had to be, right? But, this is cool, too. This is also punk rock.\u201d<\/p>\n She received the honor for her performance as Ava Daniels<\/a> in the fourth season of \u201cHacks<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n Ava, a young comedy writer, works with veteran comedian Deborah Vance<\/a> in the hit HBO Max show co-created by New Jersey<\/a>\u2019s Paul W. Downs<\/a>, his wife Lucia Aniello<\/a> and Jen Statsky<\/a>.<\/p>\n The show, which is headed into production on its fifth season, follows the complex and evolving relationship between Ava and Deborah.<\/p>\n
