Following a sudden allergic reaction, the Modern Family actor had to be taken to the hospital.<\/p>\n On September 14, 2025, the America\u2019s Got Talent judge, Sofia Vergara, was hit with a sudden eye allergy. It happened right before she was about to head to the 77th Emmy Awards. She took to her official Instagram account to update the fans on her health and the reason why she\u2019s missing the award ceremony this year.<\/p>\n Vergara uploaded a photo and clips of herself at the hospital with a carousel post<\/a>. It was accompanied by a caption that read, \u201cDidnt make it to the Emmys but made it to the ER. [Sorry] I had to cancel! Craziest eye [allergy] right before getting in the car!\u201d<\/p>\n The first slide is a close-up photo of her eye allergy. The second slide shows her lying on a hospital bed, and the third slide shows Vergara rinsing her eye.<\/p>\n The 53-year-old actress was scheduled to present an award at the Emmys this year.
