Nobody Wants This <\/i>star Justine Lupe<\/strong> is giving Us as much of a Nobody Wants This <\/i><\/a>season 2 scoop as she possibly can share.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s really fun,\u201d Lupe, 36, exclusively told Us Weekly <\/i>at the 2025 Emmy Awards<\/a> on Sunday, September 14. \u201cOur creators really leaned into, like, giving the people what they loved about it last season, and also stretching it into something new and exciting.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lupe stunned on Sunday for her first-ever Emmys in a silver, sheer Carolina Herrera gown, there to support her Nobody Wants This <\/i>costars. Kristen Bell<\/strong> and Adam Brody<\/strong> are up for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series and Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series, respectively. The Netflix hit is also nominated for Outstanding Comedy Series. (Bell, 45, lost early in the night to\u00a0Hacks<\/em>\u2018\u00a0Jean Smart<\/strong>.)<\/p>\n

Nobody Wants This<\/i>, created by Erin Foster<\/strong> and loosely inspired by her own interfaith marriage<\/a> that inspired her to convert to Judaism, premiered in September 2024 about agnostic podcaster Joanne (Bell) as she fell in love with rabbi Noah (Brody). Lupe plays Joanne\u2019s sister and podcast cohost, Morgan.<\/p>\n

This year, the awards are being held at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday, September 14. Stars including Uzo Aduba, Kristen Bell, Quinta Brunson, Ayo Ederibi and Jean Smart all looked flawless as they hit [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

When asked where Joanne and Morgan are headed in the next batch of episodes,<\/a> Lupe succinctly told Us, <\/i>\u201cYou\u2019ll have to see! I literally cannot say anything.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lupe and her Nobody Wants This<\/i> castmates recently wrapped the second season of the romantic comedy, which premieres this fall.<\/p>\n

While Lupe couldn\u2019t say much more about Nobody Wants This <\/i>season 2, it\u2019s likely that Joanne and Noah will continue exploring their romance.<\/p>\n

Comedian Nate Bargatze is hosting the 77th annual Emmy Awards at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. \u201cIt\u2019s a huge honor to be asked to host such an iconic awards show,\u201d he said in a statement in April. \u201cI don\u2019t think it\u2019s going to be easy, but I think that they are going to have a relationship,\u201d costar Jackie Tohn<\/strong>, who plays Noah\u2019s sister-in-law Esther, previously told Us <\/i><\/span><\/a>in November 2024. \u201cI think since season 1 is so dreamland, they\u2019re probably going to get into more real relationship-y stuff.\u201d<\/p>\n

Tohn, 45, added at the time, \u201cI mean, they did do it a little bit with getting the \u2018ick\u2019 and her just being like, \u2018This can\u2019t work. What are we doing?\u2019 But maybe just more relationship-y things. I mean, we\u2019ll see.\u201d<\/p>\n

The second season will also feature a special cameo<\/a> from Leighton Meester<\/strong>, who is married to 45-year-old Brody in real life.<\/p>\n

\u201cLeighton is awesome. She\u2019s so kind, she\u2019s so fun, and she\u2019s so funny, and them together on set, they\u2019re just so sweet together,\u201d Lupe told Us <\/i>on Sunday. \u201cThey\u2019re a really great couple, so we were so excited to have her. I\u2019m so happy she did it.\u201d<\/p>\n
