Sofia Vergara was sent to the hospital instead of the 2025 Emmy Awards<\/a>.<\/p>\n The \u201cModern Family\u201d star had to miss the award ceremony on Sunday, Sept. 14 because of an eye allergy. <\/p>\n “Didn\u2019t make it to the Emmys but made it to the ER,\u201c Vergara, 53, wrote in an Instagram post<\/a>. \u201dSorry I had to cancel! Craziest eye [allergy] right before getting in the car!” <\/p>\n Vergara\u2019s post included a photo of the \u201cGriselda\u201d star with her left eye noticeably red and swollen, her laying down on a hospital bed and flushing her eye out with water.<\/p>\n \u201cOh no! Get well soon,\u201d Terry Crews commented Vergara\u2019s post.<\/p>\n \u201cUncommon to have allergy in one eye only,\u201d model Linda Evangelista wrote, \u201cA derm can help.\u201d <\/p>\n While Vergara wasn\u2019t nominated for any awards, she was meant to be one a presenter. She also wasn\u2019t the only star to miss the ceremony. <\/p>\n \u201cEuphoria\u201d star Eric Dane<\/a>, who was diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) in April<\/a>, wasn\u2019t there to present either.
