The Pitt<\/em> came out on top at the 2025 Emmy Awards<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The hit series was nominated on Sunday, September 14, in categories including<\/a> Outstanding Drama Series, Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series for Noah Wyle<\/strong>, Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for Katherine LaNasa<\/strong>, Outstanding Directing for a Drama Series and Outstanding Writing for a Drama Series.<\/p>\n

HBO Max\u2019s hit series walked away with three trophies<\/a> for Outstanding Drama Series, Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series and Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series.<\/p>\n

The Pitt<\/em>, which premiered in January, highlighted the highs and lows of working in emergency medicine with an unconventional approach \u2014 15 episodes that each showcase one hour of one (extra-long) 15-hour shift.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tLights, camera, fashion! The 2025 Emmys have commenced, meaning stars have brought their A-game to the red carpet. This year, the awards are being held at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday, September 14. Stars including Uzo Aduba, Kristen Bell, Quinta Brunson, Ayo Ederibi and Jean Smart all looked flawless as they hit [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The medical drama ultimately turned into weekly appointment viewing and marked Wyle\u2019s second successful medical series<\/a>. ER<\/em>, which aired from 1994 to 2009, followed the inner life of an emergency room in a fictionalized version of Chicago\u2019s real Cook County Hospital. Wyle starred alongside George Clooney, Julianna Marguiles, Anthony Edwards, Eriq La Salle<\/strong> and Sherry Stringfield<\/strong> (and later John Stamos, Mekhi Phifer <\/strong>and Linda Cardellini<\/strong>).<\/p>\n

More than a decade after ER<\/em> ended, Wyle returned as the star and executive producer of The Pitt<\/em>. One month after its debut, The Pitt<\/em> won over fans and critics alike and earned itself a second season, which is expected to premiere in January 2026. The next installment will be set months later during the 4th of July weekend.<\/p>\n

Before season 1 came to an end, star Isa Briones<\/strong> applauded The Pitt<\/em> <\/a>for its medical accuracy.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe 10 of us doctors all got medical boot camp for two weeks before we started filming, which was so helpful,\u201d Briones, 26, exclusively told Us Weekly<\/em> in February. \u201cOn set, we always have [technical advisor] Dr. Joe Sachs \u2014 he\u2019s there all the time.\u201d<\/p>\n

She added: \u201c[They] cycle through every episode. So a different doctor is assigned to every episode and they handle choreographing all of the big trauma scenes \u2014 anything that involves medical choreography. But the boot camp was so helpful because it\u2019s not like they can teach us how to be a doctor in two weeks, obviously. But it gave us the tools and gave us the language of the right questions to ask when we are actually choreographing something like that.\u201d<\/p>\n
