After years of ramping up anticipation, Billboard<\/em> cover star<\/a> Cardi B<\/a> is in full promo mode getting out the word about her long-awaited sophomore album, Am I the Drama?<\/em>, which is due out on Friday (Sept. 19) The get-out-the-clicks campaign has included Cardi setting up shop<\/a> on a busy NYC sidewalk last week and selling her wares grassroots style.<\/p>\n She was back at it over the weekend in an Instagram Live in which she was encouraging her fans to go out and buy a copy the album later this week. But, before she could even get her pitch started, the rapper\u2019s eldest child with former husband Offset, eight-year-old Kulture, interrupted with her own sales strategy.<\/p>\n More from Billboard<\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cOh, don\u2019t get her album,\u201d Kulture said to Cardi\u2019s surprise in the video (which you can watch here<\/a>.)<\/p>\n Not super psyched to be negged by her own flesh and blood, Cardi hit Kulture with a harsh warning, asking her, \u201cWhat you mean don\u2019t get my album, girl? Then you ain\u2019t gonna be able to buy s\u2013t. We\u2019re gonna live in the hood.\u201d Playfully enraged, Cardi continued, \u201cain\u2019t no more toys for y\u2019all. No nice car, no nothing. No more Roblox coin, no more Apple, no more Target.\u201d<\/p>\n She then asked Kulture to name a few of of her favorite things, warning, \u201cyou gonna be eating rice and beans every G\u2013damn\u2026 yeah, no crab\u2026 I think I ate crab in my childhood like three times.\u201d<\/p>\n Last month, the rapper jokingly claimed that if fans didn\u2019t come out and buy Drama<\/em> she might be out on the street. \u201cI\u2019m about to get evicted from my mansion,\u201d she said at the time, according to\u00a0Complex<\/a><\/em>. \u201cThey\u2019re about to repo all my cars. They\u2019re about to take my Lambos and my Rolls-Royce. I couldn\u2019t even get my pool cleaned this week, you know what I\u2019m saying? I\u2019m f\u2013ked up in the game right now. Please donate to my album because it\u2019s going to come out on Sept. 19 and it\u2019s all I got. I just want to say thank you guys so much, because it\u2019s been very hard for me.\u201d<\/p>\n The good news in the weekend IG chat was word from Cardi that she\u2019s going to reveal something new about the album every day until its release later this week.
