After word spread about his cancelling some upcoming appearances due to a \u201chealth issues\u201d<\/a> last week, we learned that WWE Hall of Famer Jerry \u201cThe King\u201d Lawler was recovering home after suffering a stroke.<\/p>\n

The news that he was already at home was positive, as this was the 75-year-old\u2019s third stroke<\/a> since 2018<\/a> \u2014 and the Memphis wrestling legend and long-time Raw<\/em> announcer shared earlier this year that he\u2019s still dealing with the effects<\/a> of the one he had two years ago.<\/p>\n

Lawler\u2019s most recent stroke was a \u201cminor\u201d one, according to a conversation he had with Memphis\u2019 FOX13<\/a>. He told the station\u2019s Valerie Calhoun he was his condo in Florida a couple weeks ago when it happened, and hadn\u2019t been taking his prescriptions. It sounds like the main issue he\u2019s still dealing with is vision-related, as Lawler didn\u2019t recognize his house when his daughter brought him back there after his most recent stroke.<\/p>\n

Otherwise The King says he feels \u201cpretty good\u201d, telling Calhoun:<\/p>\n

\u201cI remember lying in the bed in the hospital and when people that I knew, like family members, came in and I didn\u2019t even recognize them.<\/p>\n

\u201dPeople kept coming out of nowhere to thank me and to pray for me. All of that means such a great, great deal to me and I want to thank them for all that.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n

He now says he\u2019s focused on recovering, and emphasized that he\u2019s taking his medicine.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
