Prince Harry is just coming off of a successful trip to the UK<\/a>, where he saw his father<\/a> for the first time in months, as part of a royal reconcillation, and now that he\u2019s back in the US<\/a>, and there\u2019s no word from King Charles<\/a> on his birthday, one may wonder if there\u2019s been a royal setback<\/a>.<\/p>\n Last year, both the Royal Household and the Waleses publicly wished Harry a happy birthday<\/a>, it was Harry\u2019s 40th birthday, and now that Harry is turning 41, the Royal Family<\/a> may pull back on sending public birthday wishes to the Duke, since they are typically reserved for milestone birthdays and senior working royals.<\/p>\n He may get a shoutout when he turns 50 or returns to the fold and resumes his royal duties.<\/a><\/p>\n However, his wife Meghan Markle<\/a> took to Instagram to celebrate her “birthday boy” with a throwback snap of the young prince.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Harry was seen pulling up to Clarence House on Wednesday of last week, which had Royal Watchers worldwide gasping all at once \u2014 that he was going to see his father \u2014 and once it was done and dusted, it was like: \u201cWhat\u2019s next?\u201d<\/p>\n There\u2019s no official royal rundown on what to expect, but according to Jane Barr, author of From Berkshire to Buckingham <\/em>Substack, Harry\u2019s return to royal life isn\u2019t going to be overnight.<\/p>\n According to the royal writer, a handful of royal engagements and a sit-down with his father<\/a> doesn\u2019t add up to a royal reconciliation, it\u2019s going to take more.<\/p>\n In a recent Substack post, Barr wrote: \u201cNow that his busy week has wrapped, the conversation starts in earnest among royal watchers: what does this mean for Harry\u2019s future with the royals?\u201d<\/p>\n Barr did an assessment Harry\u2019s trip and what to expect in the near future.<\/p>\n She said: \u201cI don\u2019t think a meeting with his father and a slew of public engagements will automatically turn back the clock or open the door back into the royal fold for Harry.<\/p>\n She added: \u201cI am not certain why that has been a prominent assumption.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cThere is no doubt that is the outcome Harry wants. But there is no indication that is happening.\u201d<\/p>\n DON\u2019T MISS:<\/strong><\/p>\n King Charles to make ‘strong decisions’ after closed door meeting with Harry<\/a><\/strong> Last week was a success story for Harry, with four well-spent days in the UK and a surprise visit to Ukraine<\/a>, which left Barr wondering if Harry was going to be able to sustain his success streak, and she does not sound all that hopeful<\/p>\n In her recent post, she wrote: \u201cAt first blush, this looks like more of what we saw earlier from the Sussexes, when they were in the thick of trying to recreate the royal life in America.\u201d<\/p>\n She added: \u201cNot unlike one of their faux royal tours, this is Harry coming back, and \u2014 for a brief week \u2014 pretending he is back in his old life.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cIf this is like earlier iterations, this week will fade quickly and not be repeated for another year. Hardly a massive shift for Harry.\u201d<\/p>\n Barr makes a good point, we saw something similar last year, that Harry was in NYC for a few days, and then next thing we knew he popped up in South Africa, but it\u2019s been a year, and a lot can happen in a year.<\/p>\n
