Matt Reeves<\/a> has some ideas for other The Batman<\/a><\/strong> spin-off shows.<\/p>\n Warner Bros. Pictures<\/a> and DC Studios<\/a>\u2019 The Batman was released in 2022. Directed by Reeves, the movie stars Robert Pattinson as the titular Dark Knight, while the cast also includes Zo\u00eb Kravitz as Selina Kyle, Paul Dano as The Riddler, Jeffrey Wright as Jim Gordon, and Colin Farrell as The Penguin. A sequel is in the works and is currently dated for 2027.<\/p>\n Farrell reprised his Oswald \u201cOz\u201d Cobb role in HBO\u2019s The Penguin<\/a>, a spin-off show that premiered in 2024. Cristin Milioti won the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie Primetime Emmy Award for her performance as Sofia Gigante in the show, while it was also nominated for a number of others.<\/p>\n Speaking with Deadline<\/a> at the Emmys, Reeves was asked if there were plans to make more spin-off shows focused on characters that inhabit the Batman Epic Crime Saga<\/a> universe.<\/p>\n \u201cWe have talked about that,\u201d Reeves said. \u201cAnd I really am hoping to do that. But, obviously, it all comes down to finding the right idea that works for the network and works for everybody. I have a bunch of ideas that we\u2019ve talked about \u2014 we\u2019ve had a bunch of ideas, [producer Dylan Clark] and I have had a bunch of ideas. At the moment, the priority is to see if there is a Season 2 of The Penguin.
