With a new album on the horizon, Lovato teased another \u201cLook, I\u2019m better again!\u201d documentary on social media. \u201cGetting deeper and more personal than ever,\u201d she wrote<\/a>. \u201cMy fifth documentary is here.. watch the exclusive trailer now.\u201d<\/p>\n Thankfully, instead of leading to a trailer that perpetuates her previous cycles of promotion, the link brought fans to a landing page that announced It\u2019s Not That Deep<\/em>, Lovato\u2019s ninth studio album set for release on Oct. 24.<\/p>\n More from Rolling Stone<\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cWith my past eras, I often wrote cathartic music about heavy topics that I needed to process,\u201d Lovato said in a statement. \u201cWhen I got back in the studio this time around, those songs just weren\u2019t resonating anymore because I\u2019m not in that place in life. I\u2019m happy, I\u2019m in love, and I just want to enjoy life and have fun. I realized it\u2019s not that deep anymore, and that became the ethos for this album. It\u2019s Not That Deep<\/em> is meant for late nights and dancefloors, and I can\u2019t wait for you all to dance with me.\u201d<\/p>\n Lovato created the album with executive producer Zhone, who recently told Rolling Stone<\/em>,<\/a> \u201cIt\u2019s been so inspiring working with Demi and experiencing her journey of continued leveling up. She is such a master in the studio. This album is about letting inhibitions go, and we had so much fun making this music! It really comes across throughout.\u201d<\/p>\n It\u2019s Not That Deep <\/em>follows the singer\u2019s rock pivot on 2022\u2019s Holy Fvck<\/em> and 2023\u2019s Revamped<\/em>, which reimagined her classic hits as punk songs.
