Jeezy<\/a> has announced a two-part Las Vegas residency with a 101-piece live orchestra and a new project with DJ Drama<\/a> called Still Snowin<\/em>.<\/p>\n Jeezy made the big announcements<\/a> after the final show of his Thug Motivation: 101 20th Anniversary Live Orchestra Tour, which took place at Detroit’s Fox theater on Sept. 12.<\/p>\n The rapper announced that the two-part residency at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino will take place on Oct. 21 and Nov. 1 for its first part, and Dec. 19 and Dec. 21 for its second. Instead of a 26-piece orchestra, he\u2019ll now have 101 people \u2014 appropriate, given that he’ll be celebrating Thug Motivation 101<\/em>.<\/p>\n The dates will be themed too, with the first part\u2019s shows labeled TM: 101 Live – The Masquerade for Halloween, and the December dates labeled 101 Live \u2014 The Nutcracker.<\/p>\n COMPLEX SHOP:<\/b> Shop the brands you love, anytime and anywhere. Obsess.<\/a><\/p>\n Aside from the orchestra, DJ Drama and DJ Ace will be joining Jeezy onstage to perform.<\/p>\n During the press conference, Jeezy spoke at length about his residency. When asked about it, Jeezy revealed why he decided to do it in Vegas with the orchestra.<\/p>\n \u201cI think your art, in music, whatever your contribution is, it should grow with you,\u201d said Jeezy. \u201cYou gotta think big. You gotta think colossal. To take this tour around the Midwest, down South, and everywhere we\u2019ve been before going to Vegas, it\u2019s just a proof of concept. I\u2019ve always wanted to have a residency because I feel that if you build it, they will come.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI don\u2019t know, to date, anyone that\u2019s gone to Vegas with a 101-piece orchestra, so that\u2019s something I wanted to do first,\u201d Jeezy continued. \u201cI feel like the culture should own that.\u201d<\/p>\n Along with this reveal, Jeezy let the world know more about the new DJ Drama-featuring project that drops on his birthday.<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019re celebrating 20 years of TM101,<\/em> which has been amazing and a milestone in my career,\u201d he said. \u201cI also wanted to keep going. I feel like I\u2019m in the zone. I\u2019ve got my second wind in my creative space.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cStill Snowin\u2019<\/em> is a Gangsta Grillz,\u201d continued Jeezy, referencing DJ Drama\u2019s legendary mixtape series. \u201cSep. 28 (when it releases) is my birthday.
