Oscar-nominated actress Mary McDonnell<\/a> is joining the cast of two forthcoming projects.<\/p>\n

McDonnell is set to star in thriller feature One Second After and will also appear in Marvel Television<\/a>\u2019s Vision series, The Hollywood Reporter<\/a> has learned exclusively.<\/p>\n

The actress joins previously announced castmembers Josh Holloway<\/a> and Hannah John-Kamen<\/a> in director Scott Rogers\u2019 One Second After<\/a>. A co-production between MPI Original Films<\/a> and Startling Inc., the movie adapts author William R. Forstchen<\/a>\u2019s 2009 sci-fi novel of the same name. McDonnell will portray Jen, the astute mother-in-law to John (Holloway) who looks after his daughters after an electromagnetic pulse attack throws society into chaos.<\/p>\n

McDonnell\u2019s role has not been disclosed for Disney+<\/a>\u2019s Vision show that wrapped principal photography over the summer. Series creator Terry Matalas\u2019 follow-up to WandaVision<\/a> includes Paul Bettany<\/a> as android Vision<\/a> and James Spader<\/a> as Ultron. A premiere date has not yet been announced.<\/p>\n
