Sheryl Lee Ralph<\/a> is embracing the magic of the Wicked<\/a> films while reminiscing on her own time with the beloved musical.<\/p>\n

In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE<\/a>, Ralph, who brought Madame Morrible to life on Broadway between 2016 and 2017, opened up about her thoughts on the film version, starring Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba, Ariana Grande as Glinda, and Michelle Yeoh as Madame Morrible.<\/p>\n

“One of the greatest times I’ve had onstage was playing Madame Morrible in Wicked on Broadway,” Ralph said while discussing her PBS Kids animated show, Weather Hunters. Reflecting on the transition from stage to screen, Ralph admitted she wouldn’t have minded being included in the movies.<\/p>\n

“And I have no regrets, but I just wish they had asked me to play [Madame Morrible] in the film! But that’s all right, it wasn’t mine to have, but it’s okay,” she said.<\/p>\n

Still, the Emmy-winning actress praised Yeoh’s performance, highlighting how each actor brought their own energy to the story.<\/p>\n

“I thought she did a wonderful job,” Ralph said of Yeoh. “Everybody brings their own special flavor to these roles. My flavor is what I bring, and she brought what she brought, and it’s wonderful.”<\/p>\n

She also had high praise for the rest of the star-studded cast: “And that all adds to the movie. I love Cynthia, I adore Ariana, and Jonathan Bailey, I swoon. So I’m loving it all.”<\/p>\n

When the first Wicked installment debuted in November, Ralph encouraged fans to support Yeoh’s version on the big screen. The next chapter, Wicked: For Good, is set to hit theaters on November 21.<\/p>\n

“This is your reminder to go see #Wicked this weekend! I had such a wonderful time playing Madame Morrible on Broadway years ago,” Ralph wrote on Instagram at the time. “You do not want to miss @michelleyeoh_official giving a marvelous performance in this film! \ud83d\udc9a\ud83e\ude77.\u201d<\/p>\n
