Nick Cannon<\/strong> is reflecting on what drove him to famously father a dozen kids \u2014 including 10 in the last eight years.<\/p>\n During an appearance on The Breakfast Club<\/em><\/a> on Monday, September 15, Cannon confessed that having so many children was a response to his trauma stemming from his 2016 divorce from ex-wife Mariah Carey<\/strong>, 56.<\/p>\n \u201cYeah, I\u2019m learning that now,\u201d the Masked Singer<\/em> host, 44, said.<\/p>\n \u201cIf I would have did the work [and] the healing after getting divorced, I probably would have took my time,\u201d Cannon explained, but \u201cfor whatever reason I thought that was the answer a lot of times, like \u2018Oh, I\u2019m gonna figure it out over here.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cNow, you\u2019re leaving trauma every step of the way instead of fixing it from its origin,\u201d he admitted.<\/p>\n Cannon shares twins Moroccan<\/strong> and Monroe<\/strong>, 14, with Carey; sons Golden<\/strong>, 8, and Rise<\/strong>, who will be 3 on September 23, and daughter Powerful<\/strong>, 4, with Brittany Bell<\/strong>; twin sons Zion<\/strong> and Zillion<\/strong>, 4, and daughter Beautiful<\/strong>, 2, with Abby De La Rosa<\/strong>; son Legendary<\/strong>, 3, with Bre Tiesi<\/strong>; daughter Onyx<\/strong>, 3, with LaNisha Cole<\/strong>; and son Zen<\/strong>, who died at 5 months in 2021 and daughter Halo<\/strong>, 2, with Alyssa Scott<\/strong>.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s a rich man\u2019s sport,\u201d he told TMZ<\/a><\/em> last year of having so many children.<\/p>\n The Wild \u2019n Out<\/em> host also revealed last year that he was diagnosed with narcissistic personality disorder<\/a>, which the Mayo Clinic defines as a mental health condition in which someone has an \u201cunreasonably high sense of their own importance.\u201d<\/p>\n![\"\"](\"https:\/\/staging.starmagazine.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/Screenshot-2025-09-15-at-5.00.02-PM.png\")
