The 2026 Winter Games<\/a> in Milan-Cortina, Italy, will be about more than snow and ice sports.<\/p>\n

Like every Olympics, they\u2019ll be an opportunity to showcase the country\u2019s culture. So NBC Universal<\/a> is bringing on an expert to help explain Italy to an American audience: Italian American actor and noted foodie Stanley Tucci.<\/p>\n

Tucci, known for his roles in movies such as \u201cConclave,\u201d<\/a> \u201cThe Devil Wears Prada\u201d<\/a> and \u201cThe Hunger Games\u201d<\/a> series, has also hosted shows about Italy\u2019s food, traditions and culture on celebrity.land and the National Geographic channel.<\/p>\n

His job during the primetime coverage of the Milan-Cortina Olympics<\/a> on NBC and Peacock is \u201cto present travelogue-style segments\u201d focused on the sprawling northern regions of Italy playing host to the next Winter Games.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s been my passion to learn about the people of Italy by traversing the country and savoring its food. But this time, I\u2019ll have a guest with me \u2014 the world,\u201d Tucci said in a Monday news release<\/a>, adding he\u2019s looking forward to seeing the impact of the Games.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat foods will the world fall in love with? What favorites will be uncovered? How will Italy transform with the world as its guest? I\u2019m excited to share it all with the American primetime audience in February,\u201d Tucci said.<\/p>\n
