Brandon Blackstock<\/strong>\u2018s family has banded together following his death.<\/p>\n On Sunday, September 14, Reba McEntire<\/strong> \u2014 Brandon\u2019s ex-stepmother \u2014 spoke to Entertainment Tonight<\/em><\/a> at the 2025 Emmy Awards, and opened up about how the late talent manager\u2019s kids are coping with the loss.<\/p>\n \u201cWe miss him. We miss him every minute,\u201d the country singer, 70. remarked. \u201cThe kids are doing well, they\u2019re all bonding together and hanging out with each other, and taking it one day at a time. We know God\u2019s got this.\u201d<\/p>\n Brandon \u2014 who passed away in August at 48 years old after a lengthy battle with melanoma \u2014 shared kids River<\/strong>, 11, and Remington<\/strong>, 9, with ex-wife Kelly Clarkson.<\/strong> He was also a dad to daughter Savannah<\/strong> and son Seth,<\/strong> whom he shared with his first wife, Melissa Ashworth.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n The Happy\u2019s Place<\/em> actress \u2014 who People<\/em><\/a> reports is now engaged to Rex Linn<\/strong> \u2014 was married to Brandon\u2019s dad, Narvel Blackstock,<\/strong> from 1989 to 2015. The former couple share a son, Shelby Blackstock,<\/strong> 35.<\/p>\n Following his death in August, McEntire penned a heartfelt tribute to Brandon on Instagram.<\/a><\/p>\n \u201cLast week, my stepson\/oldest son Brandon Blackstock went home to be with God. His struggle is over and he is in eternal peace in God\u2019s presence,\u201d she wrote in the caption of her post. \u201cThere is no one else like him, and I\u2019m thankful for the time we had together. His legacy and laughter will be carried on through his family. Rest in peace cowboy.
