It’s tiiiiiime! Mariah Carey<\/strong> is making Vegas merry again.<\/p>\n On Monday, the five-time Grammy winner announced\u00a0Mariah Carey\u2019s Christmastime in Las Vegas, a 10-date holiday stint at\u00a0Dolby Live at Park MGM: \u201cExcited to bring Christmastime to the Dolby Live at Park MGM in Vegas!\u201d she wrote on Instagram<\/a>.<\/p>\n The engagement opens\u00a0Friday, Nov. 28\u00a0(the day after Thanksgiving) and runs through\u00a0Dec. 13, 2025 on the same stage that hosted her\u00a0Celebration of Mimi\u00a0residencies in 2024 and 2025.<\/p>\n Tickets go on sale\u00a0Saturday, Sept. 20, with presales for\u00a0MGM Rewards, Live Nation and Ticketmaster\u00a0beginning\u00a0Wednesday, Sept. 17 at 10 a.m. PT. According to reports<\/a>, one dollar from every ticket benefits\u00a0The Fresh Air Fund\u2019s Camp Mariah.<\/a><\/p>\n Various reporting over the summer sparked health concerns for the singer, after some video leaked showing her slurring her words<\/a> at the MTV VMAs after-party earlier this month. Carey had won the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award that night, which led to criticism over her speech and accusations of lip singing her performance. <\/a><\/p>\n She also received backlash in June, when viewers described her BET Awards appearance as “robotic<\/a>,” with one X user describing her as looking “spaced out.<\/a>“<\/p>\n While Carey\u2019s Christmas season usually sparks cheer, the reaction to her Vegas residency is split.<\/p>\n \u201cHopefully after this one, you get some much needed rest, queen \u2764\ufe0f” one concerned fan wrote in the comments section of her Instagram<\/a> announcement.<\/p>\n \u201cYou need to rest, that\u2019s for sure!” another added. “This amount of shows isn\u2019t doing you any good. There are many criticisms about your shows. I love you, but I can\u2019t just overlook it when it comes to your health.\u201d<\/p>\n One user shared: \u201cBabe skip the xmas concert for a while will be good for your health…just promote the new album and relax….\u201d with another adding, \u201cMariah, you need to rest i love you with all of my heart but lately your unique shine and bright is missing \u2764\ufe0f\u200d\ud83e\ude79 please, stay well and health.\u201d<\/p>\n Some framed Vegas as a pragmatic middle ground.<\/p>\n \u201cI know many are concerned about her health and believe she should just rest. I can\u2019t even say I disagree. But I think this is a step in the right direction,” one user chimed in. “She\u2019s not touring this time, at least she\u2019s staying in one place and doing a short stint of shows. This will allow her to rest more in between shows by not having to travel.”<\/p>\n Other defenders pushed back on some of the criticism:<\/p>\n \u201cDon’t listen to the haters. You know your body. You’ll rest when you want. You’ll always be the queen!!\u201d one fan wrote.<\/p>\n \u201cPlease take a year off of Christmas,” another added. “Focus the energy on [the new album] Here For It All. The new album should be getting all of the shine. You need to focus on your health and happiness as well.
