Jimmy Kimmel<\/strong> may be ready for retirement in the near future, but it has taken a toll on the people who work on Jimmy Kimmel Live!,<\/em> <\/a>according to a source.<\/p>\n A source tells the National Enquirer <\/em>that\u00a0the 57-year-old talk show host is \u201ccoming across as insensitive\u201d as he is \u201csaying he doesn\u2019t have much time left in the business [because] that the whole genre is changing.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cThe people who work for him \u2014 the writers, the cameramen, the musicians, assistants, and so many others \u2014 most of them are living paycheck to paycheck and need the work,\u201d explains the source.<\/p>\n The source claims the comedian is figuring out \u201cwhat his next step is\u201d<\/a> and is potentially interested in hosting Jeopardy!<\/em> one day, but won\u2019t be able to \u201ctake these staffers with him.\u201d<\/p>\n As the Enquirer<\/em> previously reported<\/a>, the TV personality discussed retirement with the Los Angeles Times<\/em><\/a> in February 2024.<\/p>\n \u201cI think this is my final contract.
