Alan Cumming<\/strong><\/a> recently joked that, when he was first offered the chance to appear in Avengers: Doomsday<\/a>, he believed he was being pranked.<\/p>\n

What did Alan Cummings say about his MCU return in Avengers: Doomsday?<\/h2>\n

Speaking to Variety while at the Emmys yesterday, Cumming was asked about his upcoming appearance in the movie. The Nightcrawler actor revealed that, when he was originally approached about the movie, he initially thought someone had to be playing a joke on him.<\/p>\n

\u201cWell, I thought it was a prank, to start with,\u201d said Cumming. \u201cWhen I went to meet them at Disney, it was \u2014 I can\u2019t remember what Jewish holiday it was \u2014 it was a Jewish holiday. So the place was empty. I was like, \u2018What\u2019s going on? Is this like one of those shows that what\u2019s his name used to host?\u2019 Punk\u2019d!\u201d<\/p>\n

As far as Cumming\u2019s role in the film goes, that remains mostly unknown as of now, as does most of Doomsday, which remains under wraps. Cumming did note that he has finished his filming for the movie<\/a>, though.<\/p>\n

So far, several major stars from the MCU have been confirmed to be in Avengers: Doomsday\u2019s cast. The movie is led by Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom, but also includes Chris Hemsworth\u2019s Thor,\u00a0Pedro Pascal\u2019s Reed Richards, Vanessa Kirby\u2019s Invisible Woman\/Sue Storm,\u00a0Anthony Mackie\u2019s Captain America,\u00a0Sebastian Stan\u2019s Bucky Barnes\/Winter Soldier,\u00a0Letitia Wright\u2019s Shuri\/Black Panther, and\u00a0Paul Rudd\u2019s Ant-Man.<\/p>\n
