Online<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n Sof\u00eda Vergara<\/a>\u2019s night took a detour.<\/p>\n The “Modern Family” alum shared she had to miss the 77th annual Emmy Awards<\/a> Sept. 14 after taking a trip to the emergency room.<\/p>\n \u201cDidnt make it to the Emmys but made it to the ER,\u201d the “Griselda” actress wrote in a Sept. 14. Instagram<\/a> carousel featuring a picture of her looking into the camera and showing off her red, swollen eye. \u201cSorry I had to cancel! Craziest eye allergie [sic] right before getting in the car!\u201d<\/p>\n Vergara, 53, also shared videos from inside the emergency room where she seemingly moans in pain and another clip of her treating the allergy as she does a rinse in a faucet.<\/p>\n And while she didn\u2019t make it to the ceremony, Vergara \u2014 who underwent a second knee surgery in July<\/a> \u2014 had plenty of star power in her comments, sending well wishes her way.<\/p>\n \u201cOh no! However, his “Grey\u2019s Anatomy” costar Jesse Williams took the stage solo<\/u><\/a> and presented the award for Outstanding Directing in a Drama series.<\/p>\n And while there were a few celebs missing from the room, the show went on and some of the biggest stars flocked to the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles for TV\u2019s biggest night.<\/p>\n
