It\u2019s been quite a while since Euphoria<\/em><\/a> last graced our screens with new episodes for its second season, but fans will have to wait just a little longer to join Rue (Zendaya<\/a>) and crew back at HBO<\/a> as Season 3\u2019s arrival looms in the somewhat near future.<\/p>\n As we await the third chapter of Sam Levinson<\/a>\u2018s teen drama, we\u2019re breaking down everything we know so far below, including when it\u2019s most likely to arrive, and other exciting details. Scroll down for a closer look.<\/p>\n According to Variety<\/em><\/a>, HBO & Max\u2019s Chairman and CEO Casey Bloys confirmed during a presentation in November 2024 that Euphoria<\/em> Season 3 was set to begin filming in the new year. \u201cWe are shooting\u2026 I think we have a start date, mid to late January. Nothing\u2019s changed,\u201d Bloys reassured reporters, noting that Euphoria<\/em> is still on the way despite conflicting rumors about it meeting an early end. \u201cI have read the scripts. We\u2019re happy. We\u2019re moving ahead,\u201d Bloys added. Euphoria<\/em>\u2018s Season 3 production was confirmed on February 10th as the show\u2019s official account posted on X<\/a> (formerly known as Twitter). \u201c#Euphoria Season 3 is in production,\u201d read the caption alongside a Season 3 still of Zendaya\u2019s character, Rue.<\/p>\n According to Bloys, who spoke to\u00a0Deadline<\/em> <\/a>at the 2025 Emmys in September 2025,\u00a0Euphoria<\/em> Season 3 is currently slated to arrive in the spring of 2026 with eligibility for next year\u2019s Emmys window.<\/p>\n In an interview with Variety<\/em><\/a> in January 2024, Bloys said, \u201cObviously, the cast have all become stars, which you love to see \u2014 and Zendaya is obviously a big movie star\u2026 So, there is a practical reality to that.\u201d But, according to Bloys, it really depends upon Levinson, who is at the helm as the show\u2019s creator, writer, and director. \u201cHe\u2019s in the thick of writing Season 3 right now, and we\u2019ll leave it up to him and have those conversations about what he wants to do,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n According to Deadline<\/em><\/a>, the official casting for Season 3 will see Zendaya return as Rue alongside other original cast members Hunter Schafer<\/a>, Eric Dane<\/a>, Jacob Elordi<\/a>, Sydney Sweeney, Alexa Demie<\/a>, and Maude Apatow<\/a>. Also set to return, per Variety<\/em><\/a>, is Dominic Fike<\/a>. Additionally, Colman Domingo<\/a> will appear in a guest star capacity. It has since been revealed by Storm Reid<\/a> during a red-carpet appearance<\/a> that her character, Gia, would not return for the upcoming chapter.<\/p>\n It\u2019s unclear what the storyline will be for Euphoria\u2019s third season, but considering it\u2019s been more than two years since Season 2 debuted, the aforementioned time jump feels like a necessary story device to explain the actors\u2019 aging in real-time. Additionally, the show will likely have to explain Cloud\u2019s absence as viewers last saw him being detained as his baby brother figure Ashtray (Javon \u201cWanna\u201d Walton<\/a>) was seemingly shot by authorities.
