The post Judas Priest\u2019s Rob Halford Teases \u201cWar Pigs\u201d Duet with Ozzy Osbourne: \u201cIt\u2019s Just Colossal\u201d<\/a> appeared first on Consequence<\/a>.<\/p>\n Judas Priest<\/a>\u2018s Rob Halford<\/a> has revealed that a duet of \u201cWar Pigs\u201d recorded with the late Ozzy Osbourne<\/a> is set to be released soon.<\/p>\n Halford discussed the track\u00a0\u2014\u00a0an alternate version of Judas Priest\u2019s recent cover of \u201cWar Pigs\u201d<\/a> featuring Ozzy\u2019s vocals \u2014 in a new interview on Full Metal Jackie\u2019s radio show<\/a> (as transcribed by Loudwire<\/a>).<\/p>\n Get Judas Priest Tickets Here<\/a><\/p>\n Halford said the new version is \u201cwaiting in the wings\u201d and will be released following \u201cthe rigmarole of legal clearance and so on.\u201d Continuing, he added that it was Sharon Osbourne who suggested the idea of Ozzy singing on Priest\u2019s cover of \u201cWar Pigs.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cShe approached me with this idea, she said, \u2018I love your version of \u2018War Pigs.\u2019 Is there a way we can get Ozzy?\u2019 I was [like], \u2018You\u2019re asking me? This is gonna happen,’\u201d Halford recalled. \u201cSo you get Ozzy singing a line and then I\u2019m singing a line and Ozzy\u2019s singing a line and I\u2019m singing a line. It\u2019s the first ever time in my entire life that I\u2019ve been able to do a duet with Ozzy and I\u2019m so eternally grateful and blessed that I was able to do that.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s just colossal,\u201d added Halford. \u201cWhen you hear Priest\u2019s \u2018War Pigs\u2019 with Ozzy singing on that track, it\u2019s just going to a really special place.\u201d<\/p>\n An official release date has yet to be set, but the Metal God said that artwork is being finalized and \u201cthe green button\u2019s almost ready to go.\u201d He expects it drop \u201cpretty soon.\u201d<\/p>\n In the meantime, Halford and Judas Priest will be on the road for a fall co-headlining tour with Alice Cooper<\/a>. Dates kick off Tuesday (September 16th) in Biloxi, Mississippi, and run through October 26th in Houston.
