The 77th Primetime Emmy Awards<\/a> were a star-studded event, but several stars were noticeably missing from the show.<\/p>\n \u201cThe Bear\u201d stars Jeremy Allen White and Ayo Edebiri, who received acting nominations for their respective roles as Carmy Berzatto and Sydney Adamu, both skipped the Emmys this year. <\/p>\n According to Variety<\/a>, White missed the Sunday, Sept. 14, awards show to attend a friend\u2019s wedding. This year marked his third consecutive Emmy nomination for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series. He won the accolade for \u201cThe Bear\u201d in both 2023 and 2024 before losing to Seth Rogen (\u201cThe Studio\u201d) on Sunday.<\/p>\n According to E! News, Edebiri <\/a>was unable to attend the 2025 Emmys because she\u2019s currently filming a project in Japan. She won Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for \u201cThe Bear\u201d in 2023 but lost to Jean Smart (\u201cHacks\u201d) both this year and last year. <\/p>\n \u201cThe Bear\u201d didn\u2019t take home any Emmys this year despite receiving six total nominations. <\/p>\n Keep scrolling to see other celebs who skipped the 2025 Emmys:<\/p>\n Dane was scheduled to present an award with his fellow \u201cGrey\u2019s Anatomy\u201d alum Jesse Williams to celebrate the medical drama\u2019s 20th anniversary. However, only Williams took the stage to present the award for Outstanding Directing for a Drama Series, which went to Adam Randall for \u201cSlow Horses.\u201d <\/p>\n A reason has not been given for Dane\u2019s absence. The actor announced in April that he\u2019s battling ALS<\/a>. He sat down for an interview with Diane Sawyer in June, noting that his right arm \u201chas completely stopped working\u201d as a result of the disease. <\/p>\n The Emmys snubbed Moss and \u201cThe Handmaid\u2019s Tale\u201d this year, giving the Hulu drama\u2019s final season only one nomination: Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series for Cherry Jones (Holly). <\/p>\n Moss, who previously won an Emmy for her portrayal of June Osborne in \u201cThe Handmaid\u2019s Tale\u201d in 2018, skipped this year\u2019s awards show. Their \u201cLast of Us\u201d costars Pedro Pascal (Joel) and Kaitlyn Dever (Abby) were both in attendance. <\/p>\n The \u201cModern Family\u201d alum was scheduled to present an award at the 2025 Emmys. She was unable to attend at the last minute due to an unexpected medical emergency<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cDidnt make it to the Emmys but made it to the ER. sorry I had to cancel!
