\u201cWTF\u201d\u00a0podcast<\/a> on Monday.<\/p>\nThe comedian corrected her that it\u2019s \u201cKirk, not Crist,\u201d to which the \u201cHalloween\u201d star replied, \u201cI just call him Crist, I think, because of Christ, because of his deep belief.\u201d<\/p>\nActress Jamie Lee Curtis fought back tears as she spoke about the assassination of Charlie Kirk during a podcast appearance on Monday. AP<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\nAcknowledging that she had nothing politically in common with Kirk and \u201cdisagreed with him on almost every point,\u201d Curtis was fighting back tears when she spoke of his spirituality.<\/p>\n
\u201cI believe he was a man of faith, and I hope in that moment when he died that he felt connected to his faith,\u201d the \u201cFreaky Friday\u201d actress said.<\/p>\n\n<\/aside>\n\u201cEven though I find what his ideas were abhorrent to me, I still believe he\u2019s a father and a husband and a man of faith, and I hope whatever \u2018connection to God\u2019 means, that he felt it.\u201d<\/p>\n
Curtis noted that society is constantly \u201cbombarded\u201d with imagery, making it unclear what the long-term impact might be of repeatedly watching traumatic events \u2014 including videos of the 9\/11 terrorist attacks or the footage of Charlie Kirk\u2019s \u201cexecution\u201d being viewed \u201cover and over and over again.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m associated with this awful day of someone being assassinated on television,\u201d she said. <\/p>\n
\u201cWe are numb to them, but they are in there. We don\u2019t know, we don\u2019t know enough psychologically about what that does. What does that do? Is that the case why we\u2019re all feeling this lack of humanity\u2014because we are just saturated with these images?\u201d<\/p>\n
