The medical procedural drama show premiered on HBO Max (known simply as Max at the time) on January 9, 2025. Its first season has 15 episodes. The Pitt\u2019s success has earned the show several Emmys and a Season 2 renewal. There have been speculations among fans about potential spin-offs as well.<\/p>\n Casey Bloys revealed to Variety<\/a> that a spin-off of The Pitt is unlikely. When asked about whether a spin-off that explores the night shift version of The Pitt was possible, he exclaimed, \u201cNo!\u201d Bloys then talked about the plans behind developing a show like The Pitt.<\/p>\n \u201cListen, when we decided to move forward with The Pitt, the idea was we\u2019re going to try this, and we\u2019re going to develop other shows in this model,\u201d the executive explained. \u201cThey don\u2019t have to be a spinoff. But that model, I think The Pitt showed that it could work for us. So we\u2019ve been developing other types of shows: a cop show, a family show, etc. We will be developing those and trying to do it again.\u201d<\/p>\n Bloys stated that The Pitt was \u201clightning in a bottle,\u201d underscoring how incredibly unique the series and its success are. He added, \u201cSo the idea that we\u2019re going to do another one, that it\u2019s going to work out, you never know. But it did prove that the model could work in streaming.\u201d<\/p>\n The Pitt currently has a 95% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes after 80 reviews.
