A pop-punk band has reunited and will soon release their first new music in more than a decade. <\/p>\n
The Cab announced \u201cRoad to Reign: A Prelude,\u201d a four-track EP, will be released on Sept. 26. It will be the group\u2019s first release since 2014\u2019s \u201cLock Me Up\u201d EP and comes more than 14 years after their last album, \u201cSymphony Soldier,\u201d in 2011.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe know it took awhile. But the long road lead us right back to you. What was fractured can heal. The prelude is here.\u201d<\/p>\n It\u2019s unclear if the \u201cprelude\u201d means a full-length album is also on the way. The Cab returned to activity earlier this year with a reunion tour opening for All Time Low<\/a>, as well as performances at the When We Were Young Festival.<\/p>\n The Cab, featuring lead singer Alexander DeLeon, keyboardist\/guitarist Alex T. Marshall and bassist Joey Thunder, formed in Las Vegas in the 2000s. They released their debut studio album, \u201cWhisper War,\u201d via Fueled by Ramen\/Decaydance in 2008 and were named that year\u2019s \u201cThe Band You Need to Know\u201d by Alternative Press magazine.<\/p>\n The band rose to popularity in the MySpace\/Warped Tour era with a mix of alternative rock, pop-punk, electropop and dance on hits like \u201cOne of THOSE Nights,\u201d \u201cAngel with a Shotgun,\u201d \u201cTemporary Bliss,\u201d \u201cStand Up,\u201d \u201cLa La\u201d and \u201cEndlessly.\u201d The Cab still averages nearly 1.5 million monthly listeners on Spotify today.<\/p>\n DeLeon has also released music as a solo artist under the name Bohnes.
